BRIEF DETAILS My immediate branch of the FARNABY'S came
from the two villages of Lockington and Scorborough, which are situated
about 7 miles north of the town of Beverley in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
The family moved to this area around 1880.
Between 1800 and 1880 the family were associated with a variety of other villages around the Beverley area, including Wawne, Sutton, Etton and North Newbald. Prior to this the family lived in, and around, the village of Sherriff Hutton near York. The family earned a living in agriculture, working as Farmers or Castrators, and also as shoe makers and victualers To see my family tree please follow the Detailed History link, prepared using Personal Ancestry File. |
