1. |
David introduced Brian Simpson, who told the meeting that there are now 21 NHW Groups – increased from just 2 last year. He receives information from all 21 Groups, and although Dream Hills had the highest number of reported crimes from January to March, we now seem to be OK. |
|
2. |
The previous Minutes were agreed, no points arising. |
|
3. |
It was agreed that we must be particularly vigilant at the present time as another batch of houses has been released and new owners are moving in. |
|
4. |
Occurrences since last meeting: The 3 suspect vehicles mentioned at the last meeting, ie: white Orion, black VW Golf and the red moped, are still about. 1 house robbery, but the owner has still not put in an official report to NHW. It has, however, been reported to the Police. Brian Simpson advised that the robbers appear to have moved inland and a spate of robberies have occurred on the Pueblo Principe (Blue Hill/St. James Hill, just above Villa Martin).

|
5. |
Balance of funds at the end of April 431.27€ Expenditure (Samsung fax machine, badges) 285.06€ A further fax machine is on order. Co-ordinators gave a significant number of names/donations from new members – details of current number of members in next meeting minutes.

|
6. |
To assist in raising funds for the NHW, David is organising a trip to ‘Rich Bitch’ in Benidorm (a hilarious drag show) if there is sufficient interest. Co-ordinators to collect names of interested parties and advise David. A coach (maximum of 55 seats) will then be booked. No cost or dates available until the level of interest is established. Denise is also organising a trip to a Medieval Night just outside of Benidorm, which includes dinner, jousting, etc., on 21 June. Please advise Denise of interested parties. |
|
7. |
Phyl Farmer attended in place of her husband, who has resigned from NHW as he has taken on vice-presidency on the Community Committee. They are trying to find a replacement. We also need to find co-ordinators for the new phase of houses just released. |
|
8. |
When letting their property, owners must take responsibility for making their tenants aware of the necessary security measures, and removal of household rubbish to the local bins – this is very important to ensure the absence of vermin on our urbanization. |
|
9. |
The President of the Community will be asked if NHW can put each set of Minutes onto the Community Notice Board, once it is in place. In the meantime, Minutes should be passed around the houses for which each co-ordinator is responsible. |
|
10. |
Denise will arrange for the ‘burglars calling cards’ information to be included in the Welcome Packs, together with the urbanization telephone directory lists for all phases. These will also be distributed to all co-ordinators. |
|
11. |
Brian Simpson said that he has good contact with the Chief of Police who speaks 5 languages, is very approachable and totally in favour of NHW. |
Date of next meeting: Thursday, 19 June 2003, 11 am. again at David & Doreen Walkers – No. 580 on Phase 1.
No meetings will be held between this date and the end of September unless anything needs to be communicated. If this happens it will be done either by distribution of a news letter or by calling an emergency meeting.
