DREAM HILLS – VECINOS COLABORANDO (NHW)

Meeting held at La Casita on Thursday, 12 October 2006, at 18.00 hrs.

Jan opened the meeting and thanked everyone for attending.  Minutes of the previous meeting were agreed.

Jan and Kath have decided to stand down from the committee.  Gerald and Denise will be returning to the UK in the New Year.  This means a new committee needs to be formed for the coming year.

It was agreed two persons could easily carry out the committee duties, and three would of course make it even easier.

It was felt that our group must continue to operate.  We have formed a network of information sharing that helps provide a safer living environment.  Without it there is a strong possibility that we could experience the high levels of crime of previous years.

Dream Hills website and the notice boards will be used to advertise for interested parties.  For further information please contact Denise or Gerald at 568.

Three reports had been received since the last meeting, as follows:

11 Sept 06	Observation - white van seen driving around the bungalows.
22 Sept 06	Bag snatch at 23.15.  4 ladies walking back from Via Park III.  6’2” male got out of parked car and used knife to cut strap.  Made off in car without any lights.
7 Oct 06	Vehicle break-in outside 288 Dream Hills.  Front side window broken but nothing taken.

The following reports were received from Orihuela Costa area:

1.       Suspicious English maroon car in Los Dolses area with 4 North Africans and child.

2.       Internet Moonlight Lottery scam.  Do not give any personal details to this company.

3.       VISA telephone scam.  They wish to credit your account with an amount that has supposedly been fraudulently charged to your account.  Do not give any personal details to this company.

4.       Suspicious white Ford Transit in Villa Martin area with dark skinned person inside.

5.       Suspicious blue Kia or Mitsubishi in Monte Golf area.  2 males (Rumanian)

6.       Vehicle used in crime at Villa Piedra.  Blue/Black Ford Mondeo estate.  North African male 20-25 and North African girl 16 years.

7.       Suspicious dark grey Audi A4 or A7 in Pinada Golf, Villa Martin.  2 North Africans.

8.       Suspected Vehicle, black VW Golf.  3 Moroccan males in Daya Nueva.

9.       Distraction theft in Campo Verde.  Young Spanish male told lady who was parking she couldn‘t use that space and snatched her handbag.

10.   Email Lottery scam.  From LOTTO RheinlandPfalz [mailto:pfalzwinner@home.se]  Do not give any personal details to this company.

Dream Hills Neighbourhood Watch will soon be entering its fifth year of operation and the next meeting will be our AGM.  All are welcome to attend.
