1. Current situation David opened the meeting by asking if any further problems had been reported on Phase I, but we seem to be OK, whilst Phase II appear to have quite a few problems. 2. Information from Chris Poole Denise gave details of a conversation she had with Chris Poole on Thursday, 9 Jan., in which he pointed out that although we do not have to run as an association, we do have the full backing of the Town Hall and Police, and our local Guardia Police Station is situation in Torre de la Horadada, next to restaurant. Apparently, their cells are full with illegal immigrants awaiting charge and release! Proposed changes to the Justice system this year will hopefully result in future offenders being charged and deported. Problems exist in La Zenia at present with handbag snatches. It was decided not to set the date for a further meeting of this committee until Chris and Denise have met up again (in the near future) to discuss paperwork. Obviously we do not want to go to the expense of producing our own if the Town Hall keep their word and carry out the printing of forms, etc.. They also intend to meet up with the new co-ordinator from Playa Flamenca to discuss NHW. |

3. Use of Whistles/Additional Stickers The question of using whistles was raised, and Denise will try to contact Jose (Torrevieja NHW) to see if he can recommend a local source, as they use them but Orihuela do not. Also, more NHW stickers are needed for the rest of the urbanization and Denise will also source these. |

6. Attendance at Meetings When ‘full’ meetings are called, owners should let the committee know if they are not going to be able to attend and should put in writing any item they wish to put up for discussion. They should also let us know when they return, in order to obtain feedback. |

8. Benidorm Palace Denise has sourced 40 seats for an evening dinner/dance/show in Benidorm. Names and deposits to Denise – first come, first served. All agreed that this was an excellent idea, but recognise the implications of going out ‘en mass’. Date of next meeting – tba. KEA 12 January 2003 |
