DREAM HILLS – VECINOS COLABORANDO (NHW)

 

Meeting held at La Casita on Thursday, 7 July 2005, at 18.00 hrs.

Jan opened the meeting and gave the telephone number of Los Balcones Police Station – 966 798889.

 

Jan reported that she had experienced problems with the telephone number on NHW stickers, having called this number twice and been told it was not NHW and they did not speak English.

 

On the whole, the presence of the overnight Security Guards (11pm to 7am, NOT 10pm to 6am as stated in previous minutes) seems to be working well.

 

Two scams have been reported:

 

1.         Cash machines (usual cling film trick), specifically in the Villa Martin area,

            and

 

2.         Telephone calls and door-to-door callers requesting immediate payment of a SUMA bill.  SUMA bills are always sent
            by post direct to the person concerned.  Don’t be fooled and never hand over cash at the door.

 

Only one crime reported – by Denise.  Owners went out for the evening, leaving all doors, grilles and windows OPEN.  Denise and overnight Security Guards kept an eye on the house until the owners returned after midnight - each thought the other had locked up before going out.  They were very lucky!
