DREAM HILLS – VECINOS COLABORANDO (NHW)
Meeting held at La Casita on Thursday, 04 May 2006, at 18.00 hrs.

Gerald opened the meeting and thanked everyone for attending. Minutes of the previous meeting were agreed.
Three incidents had been reported since the last meeting, as follows:

House robbery at Dream Hills 167 between the hours of 16.30 - 23.30. Thieves broke in through the front door, no grill was fitted. |
| 29 April 06 |
Attempted break in at Dream Hills 660 at 21.50. A man was seen trying to open / remove grill but ran off when challenged. He was collected by another man in a silver Peugeot 607 type. |

Suspicious vehicle seen driving slowly around Dream Hills with 3 North African looking males. |
Although voting at the Residents Association AGM reflected a majority of house owners not in agreement with Security Patrols in the summer months, it was felt that an increased risk of crime could be present during these months as the deterrent value of Security Patrols is not known. After this summer we will have some figures to compare.
The following reports were received from Orihuela Costa area:

Theft and Damage to Cars. Recently in La Florida area, windscreen wipers removed from cars parked in the street, and slashed tyres. Predominately hire cars. |

A suspicious vehicle has been seen in Res. Inspiration II connected with a large number of house breakins during the last two months, The car is a small white one reg. A – GC containing three North African males. |

Cash Card Machine Scam. This has been reported in England but no doubt it will find its way to us. A very small and hard to see card scanning device is placed in the slot for the bank card, this is attached with double sided tape and is very firm. It scans any card put into the slot. A very minute hard to see camera is placed above the number pad and captures the pin number. The offenders are usually in a car nearby and are able to make a clone of the card. |

Handbag Snatch at Los Dolses. A man climbed up to a high terrace of a house and wrestled a handbag from a lady who was sitting there. He then jumped to the ground and made off in a car with two other men. This the second time that a similar theft occurred in Los Dolses. |
