DREAM HILLS – VECINOS COLABORANDO (NHW)
Meeting held at La Casita on Thursday, 3 May 2007, at 14.00 hrs.

Denise opened the meeting and thanked everyone for attending. Minutes of the previous meeting were agreed.
Reports received since the last meeting, as follows:15 Apr 07 Resident of Dream Hills parked at the beach, had house keys stolen from vehicle and a large amount of items taken from the house.
18 April 07 2 Suspicious males in maroon vehicle at parking area near to Piloto.26 Apr 07 House robbery at Dream Hills 761 grill ripped out and items stolen from inside the house.
27 Apr 07 Several youths applying superglue to gate locks of properties on the main road.30 Apr 07 4.30am attempted break in at 769.
30 Apr 07 5.00am house robbery at 765. Thieves used fishing rod method through window to remove personal items.A general reminder was given that cars parked in areas close to beaches in Orihuela Costa are still being broken into for the purpose of finding out the home address of the driver via the car documents. As the robber knows the car owner is at the beach he will not be at home, so has an empty house to visit. If the house keys are also in the car so much the better for him. Do not leave these items in your car while unattended. A list of English and Spanish banks has been prepared with the telephone number to call in the event of loss or theft. This list will be held by your co-ordinator.The following reports were received from Orihuela Costa area:
1. Found Property – A sports bag with personal effects and passports in the name of Henry and Mary Snell has been found in the Playa Flamenca area, contact Bob Lewis 677747101 if loser known.
2. Stolen car from Playa Flamenca – By 3 youths Suzuki Jimmy light blue, white top.
3. Bag Snatch at Rojales – 2 males 20 – 30 snatched bag from restaurant customer and drove off in Silver Seat
4. Bag Snatches at Campoverde and Pilar – The same vehicle has been used a number of times to carry out bag snatches. Silver Audi estate
5. Distraction Theft at Los Altos – Youths approached house owner and asked if electricity was off. Occupier tried lights and said “no”. Youths looked inside fuse boxes and returned later with replacement fuses asking for 200€. Occupier refused and threatened to call police. After the youths left, money was found to be missing from inside the house.
6. Scam Los Altos, La Florida and Pilar– Man demands money on the pretext that he lives nearby and his house has been robbed. He needs money to either visit German Embassy or pay for a locksmith. Thin build, short cut hair, 6’2” believed Norwegian, in possession of dark red Berlingo van.
