3. A theft of a handbag and beach towel taken from the porch, reported to us last month.
4. Two ladies and a gentleman asked Jan Rennison and Jan Emsley, to attend their house where a robbery had taken place. The thieves had gone through drawers and taken a handbag from the bedroom, and then went on to the lounge taking car keys and again going through drawers and taking a second handbag. The car keys belonged to a Mercedes hire car.

D. Circulated through Chris Poole of the Neighbourhood Watch, Orihuela Costa1. Debit cards at the Bank Caixa, Playa Flamenca, still being cloned please be aware of this.
2. A con artist doing the rounds again. This man speaks good English and is possibly German, but may be Scandinavian. He is between 30-40 years old, about 6’2” or 1.8 metres tall, of thin build and has a gaunt face with intense staring eyes. His hair is short and curly.
Last year, his getaway vehicle was a red van, although
he may have changed vehicle.
He says that he has been locked out and needing money for a locksmith, to
needing the cash to get him and his children to an embassy.
He has also been known to invite potential victims to his rented holiday home
for a party once he has sorted the situation out. Last year, he was asking
for in the region of €30. In line with inflation, he now wants €50.
Anyone who has an encounter with this man should hang onto their cash and
call the police.
