DREAM HILLS – VECINOS COLABORANDO (NHW)
Meeting held at La Casita on Thursday, 02 March 2006, at 18.00 hrs.
Present: Main Co-ordinators - Gerald & Denise Mills
Secretary - Kath Allen
Street Co-ordinators - Tony Chapman, Roger Ingram, Bob Harris, Carol Brookes, Colin Bingham,
Irene Arch, Doug Hunt
10 Residents
In Jan’s absence, Denise opened the meeting and thanked everyone for attending.
Sadly, Colin Arch – one of the co-ordinators from day one of NHW set-up - passed away a few weeks ago after a long battle against cancer. Colin was an extremely active member of NHW until his illness made it impossible for him to carry on, and our condolences go to Irene and family. However, Irene has agreed to take over as co-ordinator for their street and we are grateful and very pleased to welcome her.
20 incidents have been reported since the last meeting, details attached. Car registration numbers are available from your co-ordinator. These have all been faxed to the Police by Denise, and the Police are grateful for any help NHW groups can provide in helping to fight crime. The more written reports received, the more Police presence we should receive. Additional report: theft at 88 Dream Hills. People just arrived from airport, taking things into the house, a satchel containing travel documents (NOT passports or cash) stolen from car. Robbers in Renault or Citroen car. 12.30hrs.
Stefan, our President, joined us to provide details on the outcome of his meeting with the Mayor of Orihuela Costa and other Urbanisation Presidents as a result of the recent Petitions. These were reported in the Minutes of the Urbanisation Committee Meeting on 24 February 2006 and are also on the Notice Boards.
There are now around 70 NHW Groups and information on crimes is passed from/to all groups. The following is a resume of over 30 communications received from Orihuela Costa since the last meeting:

REMEMBER: Keep your eyes peeled, take robbers/suspicious cars registration numbers wherever possible and contact your local NHW co-ordinator as soon as possible. Also watch out for ‘robbers codes’ made outside homes. They use using stones, fruit peel, sand, earth, etc., to construct these codes, details of which are available in NHW members’ packs.
