MEETING OF DREAM HILLS URBANISATION COMMITTEE HELD AT LA CASITA, SATURDAY 31ST MAY 2008, 11.30am

MATTERS ARISING
1. Dream Hills Website. Discussion with Pat Farnaby regarding the function and information provided by the website. It was agreed that the website is a useful tool which is very informative, especially for those who do not live here. Maribel to assist Pat in the link to a Spanish version to test its feasibility. Credit was given to Pat for the success of the website with an average of 135 hits per day over the last two and a half years. The committee discussed with Pat their thoughts on the personal attacks, misinformation and derogatory statements posted lately as being unhelpful to the urbanisation.
Maribel thanked him for his attendance and he left the meeting.

3. Structure of the Committee is as follows: Maribel Morales - President, Tid Clifford and John Kerr as Vice-Presidents and John Sinclair as Chairman of the committee.
4. Garden Maintenance at swimming pool areas was discussed. The overall feeling was that the service provided was adequate but not exceptional and expensive for what was actually being done. Three quotes to be obtained from companies, specific job descriptions will be issued and the responses will be presented at next committee meeting.
5. Swimming Pool maintenance Although the condition of the pools was advised to be at present satisfactory it was agreed that the company be notified that they are to be monitored over the coming weeks as to their attendance times and quality of work. All maintenance should be completed before the pools open. As a comparison it was agreed that again three quotes to be presented at next meeting to ensure that the urbanisation was getting the best possible deal. John Kerr and Mags Harris were appointed as Pool Monitors. John Kerr will be revising the attendance and water quality record keeping together with the Accident / Incident Books plus First Aid Kits. Maribel to arrange for signs to be displayed at each pool advising ‘Private Property/ Residents Only’, and should there be anyone in the pools or pool areas out of opening hours, residents are to call the Police as these people will be trespassing.
6. Swimming Pool Card System. Pedro the card technician is to be asked to do a revision and check of the system this week. Anyone who has a problem with their pool card should come to Maribel’s next surgery on Saturday 7th June at the Casita. 12 midday, when Pedro will attend to sort out the problems.
7. Pool Supervisors - Selection and interviews taking place. Attendants should be on duty from 15th June.
8. Letter to Claro Party giving official notice of the results of the Dream Hills AGM and asking them to remove the posting and photographs on their site 27th March written by Rebecca Griffin and posted by Mahoud Al-Kadi which gives an inaccurate view of Dream Hills on their website.
9.Security guards Three companies have submitted quotes as per specifications requested. Maribel & committee to interview the preferred candidates this week.
10. Cassita Toilet will be open as from 1st June for swimmers which is two weeks earlier than previous years. Access is by swipe card only.
