MINUTES OF DREAM HILLS URBANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING HELD AT LA CASITA ON FRIDAY 30th MARCH 2007 at 10.00am

Present: Stefan Pokroppa, Anna Rosa, Peter Hemmings, Chris McNary, Jeff Andrews, Angela Cresswell and Tid Clifford.

Apologies: Peter Fraser and John Halton.

1. Minutes of previous meeting were agreed.

2. Angela Cresswell, Tid Clifford, Peter Fraser, Jeff Andrews and Pam McKinstry (secretary) stated that they will not be standing for re-election at the A.G.M. Combined with members who resigned last year (3) in total, it leaves seven committee members and one secretary required at the A.G.M.

3. PARKING IN NEW PHASE ( Bungalows)

Stefan has obtained a quote for the painting of a yellow line down the “Inspiration” side of the road. Approx 250 euro was quoted and the committee voted to go ahead with the painting.

4. TERRESTRIAL DIGITAL TELEVISION

Spain is planning to change the television service to Digital by 2010. We have five aerial centres on the urbanisation and quotes will be obtained to change these in the run up to the deadline.

5. ENVIRONMENTAL TEAM

Chris and the environmental team have agreed to tidy up some of the large items e.g. disguarded machinery which has been “dumped” around the urbanisation.

5. A.O.B

The committee will consider applying to the council, once the urbanisation hand-over takes place, any spare land adjacent to the urbanisation to be used for sport facilities.

Gates at the top of the urbanisation have now been repaired, also the broken pavements have been renewed.

Stefan to check up on the commencement of the work to the agreed garden/green area in front of the new phase and backing onto phase one.

The committee will ask the Correos when the out-going Post Boxes are to be installed at Via Park 3 and 5 and if one of them can be sited near the new phase post boxes at the bottom of the urbanisation instead. This is unlikely, as it is usual to position them only by commercial centres.

The committee agreed that they had stated sometime previously that the Dream Hills website should not be used as a “political platform.” Chris McNary felt this was now void, as campaigning should be acceptable in the run up to the A.G.M. This will no doubt be reviewed again with a new incoming committee.

An E Mail sent by Chris McNary to Mike D, referring to “one celled brainless idiots,” was copied to Stefan. Stefan asked Chris whether the comment referred to the committee or the residents and was told “some of the residents.”

The meeting concluded at 12.20.
