Minutes of committee meeting held at La Casita on Saturday, June 27 at 10 am.

Present: Maribel Jimenez Morales, Tid Clifford, Jan Rennisson, Norman Richardson, Jenny McFadden,

Mags Harris, Pat Brown and Terry Dunn.

Apologies: Rafael Barcelo Martin and  Lowri Mitchell.

1)  Minutes of previous meeting accepted.

2)  Yellow-line painting, Bungalows, Dream Hills road/Inspiration:  In line with the decision of the AGM, the yellow-line will be painted on Monday 13th July.  Work will commence at 0800 hours because of the heat.  The road will be closed from 0800 until 1400 hours.  We would ask all owners to cooperate by moving their cars on the evening of the 12th.July.  Written notifications will be issued on the weekend prior to the line work.

3)  Street Cleaning:  The committee will, over the next few weeks, be visiting other urbanisations to see demonstrations of alternative street cleaning companies and their equipment.

4)  Street Lighting in a section of the 800’s:  It was agreed that the wiring will now be replaced in this particular area due to repeated lighting failures.

5)  Digital Upgrade:  Due to an earlier than originally advised switch-over in some provinces such as Murcia, the work to upgrade our receivers will begin in July.  The upgrades should take approximately 2/3 weeks.  We will notify you when the work is completed and issue a general information sheet on the notice boards.

6)  Speed Signs:  The 10 kph speed signs have now been placed on some of the busier private roads in the urbanisation.  Unfortunately some have already been ripped-off or spray-painted.  These are being replaced.

7)  Pool Attendants:  These have been in situ since the 20th of June.  The toilet in the Casita is now available for use by pool users using their swipe-card, when the pool guards are in attendance.

The pool rules are clearly displayed on both pool notice boards, on the 3 main urbanisation notice boards, and a copy is also held by the pool attendants in Spanish, English and German.  There are also symbol signs in each of the pools.

8)  Debtors:  If you have not already paid your urbanisation fees for the current year, you are now in default and considered a debtor.  The complete list of current debtors has now been placed on all notice boards including those by the pool gates.  If your name is on the list, you will not be allowed access to the pools until you have paid your urbanisation fees. Information regarding non-functioning pool cards is available from the pool attendants, your Owners Information booklet or from your area representative.

Court cases are already proceeding against a number of owners. The law now permits us to pursue debtors after being delinquent for only three months. This was approved at the AGM and court proceedings can be instigated against current debtors not already in the courts as of the 1st Sept 2009.

9)  Cockroaches:  A second spraying for cockroaches will be arranged soon for this summer.

10)  Security Guards:  The Praetorian security guards are now patrolling five nights a week with eight hour shifts.  The guard’s emergency telephone number and the hours they are on duty are on the updated information sheet you received with your AGM minutes.

The emergency number should be used in emergency situations only.  Noise from Via Park 3, Via Park 5 or Los Balcones is not an emergency situation.  If the emergency telephone number continues to be abused it could be withdrawn.

One can expect noise and music from bars and restaurants until 1 am in the summer.  Businesses with the appropriate licenses are permitted to do this.  If you feel that the noise is excessive, it is up to you to call the police, not the security guards or committee members.

11)  Rubbish Bins:  Please recycle responsibly.  The blue-marked bin at Via Park V is for recycling paper and cardboard only, the yellow-marked one is for plastic. Please do not place household rubbish in these bins.

12)  Management of finances:  It was decided to put some of the money from the urbanisation fees received into an interest-bearing account on three-monthly roll-over.  Funds can be withdrawn later in the year as and when required.

Next Surgery: Saturday 11th July at 12 noon.

Next committee meeting: 22nd August at 10 am.
