MEETING OF THE DREAM HILLS COMMUNITY COMMITTEE AT THE COMMUNITY CENTRE ON FRIDAY 25TH FEBRUARY 2005 at 1000hrs
Present: Stefan, Roger, Bill, Mags, Christine, Linda, Peter
Apologies: Kath, Chris, Gerry
The Minutes of the previous meeting were agreed.
MATTERS ARISING
1. La Casita. Item 5 of the previous minutes (Agenda Items). A letter requesting clarification of this point has been received. Income from the activities from La Casita will be used for La Casita and for social purposes only. However it was pointed out that whatever income is generated should be used for the benefit of the community as a whole. Regarding a possible patio area this must be put on hold at the moment as the Ayuntamiento inspection and the official opening of the play area has not yet taken place. The swings will be put into operation when this has taken place.
2. Telephone Lines. The installation of telephones to each house is a matter for each individual householder and not the community. Negtoiations and applications with Telefonica are individual concerns, although we note that Telefonica appears to have as many excuses as possible why they are unable to provide telephones. However, the President has been in contact with a new Telephone company called Telycom who have offered line installation to the Urbanisation. A minimum of 20 line requests are sought by the company. The President will give permission but he will not be responsible for any failure of the company to deliver or maintain the service. This is a new company and its track record has not been proved. The onus for any contract will be on the individual. Contact Trevor and Anne (No 321) who have more details.
3. Mrs Jolliffe Vs The Community. After the Community's lawyer replied to Mrs. Jolliffe's (no.248) threatened law suit over the erection of the gate a Via Park 111, she has now decided to sue the President only. The latest letter received from Mrs. Joliffe’s lawyer is considered not factual and a reply to this end has been made.

4. Dog Anti-fouling signs. Two different designs were approved and a total of 40 will be ordered. We will seek permission from owners to put these signs on their walls.
5. Street Signs. Item 7 of Minutes of 10th Sept refers. We are still investigating quotes for a Ceramic Map and numbers for the end of each road and will proceed to Totana in due course to action this. However as we propose a plinth at the entrance, this must also be approved by the Ayuntamiento. We reiterate the name of the road through DH is Calle Lagunas de Ruidera, Lago Sol (according to the Ayuntamiento). So your address is as follows:
Calle Lagunas de Ruidera No (your house number)
Urb. Dream Hills
Lago Sol
03189 Orihuela Costa
However, as you are aware all variations of this seem to work!
6. Pool showers. Self-stopping showers. Quotes have been obtained and approval will be sought at the forthcoming AGM.
7. Replacement Pool Entrance Cards. There has been the odd occasion when it has allegedly proved difficult to obtain these from Carlos Pulidos, the contractor. If there is a general feeling at the AGM that he is not providing the service required, we will look for a replacement.
8. Drains. Once again we refer you to previous Minutes, especially
those of 10th Sept. last. Item 4 states: "Each resident of a quatro,
or both in a semi, are responsible for any sewerage effluent caused by blocked
drains in their building..." We have been requested to highlight that
the new "Duck Mop", which is a disposable toilet cleaning brush,
is not suitable for disposal in the DH toilets. The drains are not to
There being no further business the meeting closed at 1220hrs.
The next meeting will be held on Friday 25th March at 1000hrs.

next surgery will be held during March and five days notice of the proposed
