A company has approached Stefan with a view to installing a cable system to serve the whole urbanisation. Stefan said he would find out more about the system, and would ask Ana-Rosa to find out whether the company is legally licensed, and discuss again at the next meeting. Nevertheless this system means each dwelling has to pay a yearly fee of 150 Euros which we probably would have to put on the community fee to make it legal. By Spanish law every house on cable must have Spanish TV, this company does not provide this service. The committee was in general against this cable system, preferring to wait and see the outcome of the various legalities regarding the mesh system currently installed in many houses. Which system should be an individual choice. |

Alarmas Directa have also approached Stefan, suggesting that if around 100 houses go over to their alarm system they would be prepared to place a permanent Worker (Technician) on the urbanisation between the hours of 08.00 and 22.00 every day, who would approach a house in three minutes in the case of alarm. If this is a false alarm, or a technical problem he is available immediately to fix the problem. If it is a real alarm he will, of course, call the police and will act immediately too. The cost of new installations is 459 Euros plus a monthly payment of 24,50 Euros + VAT. Committee members to ask residents in their areas and let Stefan know at the next meeting. (Alarmas 24 alarm systems are compatible with Alarmas Directa and the owners do not have to pay for a new equipment; CRAC Prosegur and Tecsegur alarm systems pay for a modification 400 Euros - the monthly fee will be the same.) |

Sewage problems were discussed and the Committee agreed that blockages caused by excessive amounts of paper, babies nappies, builders/tilers rubbish should be paid for by the owners of the property, not from the urbanisation funds. |

It was decided to re-open the bottom pool immediately, but everyone should be aware that work in this area is ongoing and cutting and welding equipment will be in use. Please take care when this is happening and ensure that children are kept well away from the works area. In August the guards will ensure that the pool areas are vacated by 21.00 and will lock the gates when they leave. |

VIA PARK V. The constructor still has no appropriate license from the Town Hall for the development. Blocking the street to make the foundations are not allowed. The guard from the local police did not check if they have the license to build, so gave the Constructor the permission to block the street. The Police apologised for this error to Stefan and the neighbour 509 (spanish). It is unlikely that they will block the street in the near future to make the next part of the foundations because permission will not be granted. NB THE NEXT DAY THE CONSTRUCTOR AGAIN STARTED FOUNDATION WORK. APPARENTLY THE POLICE GAVE PERMISSION AGAIN. Stefan as President of the Community will ask the Cityhall in Orihuela to see the project and asking for permission to influence it's design. On. 21th of July an article in the Spanish newspaper “Informacion” stated that the same constructor is building on nature protected land in Guardamar (Via Park IV) and the Green Party and others put denuncias against this too. Stefan will visit the local newspaper “Informacion” in Alicante to inform them what is going on here. NB THE APPOINTMENT WITH THE REPORTER WILL BE ON MONDAY 26th JULY at 10.30 (In preliminary conversation with the reporter, the reporter found it most peculiar that the police should have again allowed the construction to go ahead.) Stefan gave the article about Via Park IV to the Policia Locale and will give a copy of the new article about Via Park V to them too, also stating again that we know for sure that the contractor still has no license for Via Park V. (To be continued!) |
