MEETING OF DREAM HILLS COMMUNITY COMMITTEE AT THE COMMUNITY CENTRE ON MONDAY, 7 JUNE 2004.

Present:          Stefan, Bill, Roger, Mags, Christine, Peter, Gerry, Christopher, Kath

Apology:     Linda

Stefan opened the meeting and welcomed the new members who were voted on at the AGM.

1.

Stefan told the committee that he was meeting with the Administrator this afternoon and would
be ordering the new fencing for both swimming pool areas.  The fencing will be dark green and the company will paint the gates the same colour.  The walls will be pebble-dashed.

Stefan is taking the Petition against Via Park V to the Administrator today, and she has is waiting
to hear from the Town Hall with a date for a meeting to see if the plans can be altered.

2.

A further quote has been obtained for the fencing between Dream Hills and Via Park III and the President of Villas del Duque has agreed to share the cost of this.  Stefan is still negotiating with
the President of Via Park III for a contribution towards this.  The wall has been slightly damaged
by people working on the water tower and they have promised to repair it when they have finished working there.

3.

Irrigation pipework inside both pools needs to be properly directed to water the lawns, the
pipework outside the pools is damaged.  Stefan will arrange for both of these problems to be corrected.  People are still ignoring the pool rules; in particular they are not showering before and after entering the pools, and this may have caused the scum to form on the water in the bottom
pool.  Also, the chlorinated pool water dripping onto the lawned areas is damaging the grass.  Security Guards are now on duty in both pools until the end of August and pool opening hours
are 09.00 till 21.00.  Should any pool entrance cards be deactivated, it will be necessary for the OWNERS of the property to personally visit the Administrator’s office to get them reactivated.

4.

Specific areas of responsibility for committee members were discussed, and will be followed up
at the next meeting.

5.

A notice will be placed on the play area stating that it is for the use of owners’ children under
10 years old.  This sign will be provided by the Town Hall, who have also provided benches in the
play area and on pathways around the leisure areas.

6.

At the next meeting, the committee will provide Stefan with a list of commercial vehicles parking
in the side roads and the Administrator will send an official letter requesting that they park in the main road.

7.

Stefan will hold a ‘surgery’ every other Saturday, commencing on 19 June at the community
centre at 12 noon for one hour.  However, if no-one has arrived by 12.15 he will assume there
are no queries and will leave.  This surgery is for OWNERS ONLY, and proof of identity will be required, ie: passport, driving licence, etc..

8.

A post box for outgoing mail has been requested, but if and when the postal authorities will  install one, we do not know.

DATE OF NEXT MEETING:            Monday, 5 July 2004, at 11 am. in the community centre.
