DREAM HILLS COMMUNITY COMMITTEE

MEETING HELD ON SATURDAY, 3 APRIL 2004, WITH RESIDENTS ADJACENT TO VIA PARK III COMMERCIAL CENTRE

Original plans were for the road to the water tower would be a cul-de-sacs, therefore no through road to the main road at the back of Via Park III.

The plans were subsequently changed, this road became a through road with a very low wall dividing Dream Hills from the VP3 Commercial Centre.

Movable planters and chains with ‘Residents Only’ plaques were provided by the Community Committee to prevent non-resident parking.  However, these were not acceptable to several unnamed residents and the planters were damaged and removed and the chains broken.

At this meeting, residents requested a higher wall and installation of a gate at the entrance to the main road.   Stefan agreed to request a steel net fence along the wall on the Dream Hills side, and after a show of hands and a proxy vote of residents (see overleaf) Stefan agreed to obtain a quotation for a metal gate with spikes.  If the quote is accepted, payment will be shared between the residents of the phase – not the Community – and on the understanding that emergency services and the water company will have access via the other roads, as will all members of that phase not wishing to unlock and lock the gates each time.  Keys will be made available to all residents concerned.
